Whitman Works Company is pleased to present a new exhibition of vibrant landscape paintings by Peter Botsis. This new series of art realizes a semi-abstract extraction of the essence and the emotional application of the colors and style found in nature. His work creates an ephemeral and soulful rendition of each scene - capturing a moment and view beyond the surface. Please join us in celebrating the opening of this new exhibition with the artist from 6-9 pm on June 8th. The exhibition will continue in the Whitman Works Company main gallery until June 29th.

About the Artist:

Peter Botsis received a BFA in Illustration and an MS in teaching from RIT. His first job out of school was as the graphic artist for Channel 8. He then went into teaching while also doing illustration work for various ad agencies and corporations. In addition to advertising, he also did freelance work for magazines such as Marvel Comics, Dragon Magazine, and Amazing Stories. Peter taught locally at RIT, MC, Bryant and Stratton College, and the Art institute International (online division).
